I know..I'm a bit late but The 1975's sophomore album has recently hit Spotify and I literally haven't been able to stop listening to it. The album title alone makes me fall in love with this band just a little bit more "I like it when you sleep for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it." Like..that's so insanely beautiful. I first discovered the 1975 in my sophomore year of high school. I was on the way to the gym, listening to alt-nation, and all of a sudden Chocolate (their most well known song) came on the radio. I then proceeded to listen to it over and over again. I was hooked.
If you haven't seen the 1975 live then you NEED to! This show was definitely one of my absolute favorites to date. I got completely lost in the band, and even ended up losing the two friends (sorry Steph & Zoe) I went to the show with towards the end because I just found myself moving closer and closer to the stage. This also ended up working out for me because I caught George's drum stick that he threw into the audience. This drum stick is somewhere in my room back home and I know I should probably frame it.
If you have a chance, please take a listen to this new album. My favorites right now are She's American, UGH!, This Must Be My Dream, The Sound, A Change of Heart & Somebody Else.
The 1975 are also about to embark on another world wide tour. Although I'll be missing them this Summer due to school, they are hitting up a lot of locations, as well as Coachella! Don't miss your opportunity to see a talented band perform. You wont regret it.
